About Amanda

Amanda Enriquez is a lifelong public servant whose commitment to justice was shaped in El Paso by the example of her parents—her father, an immigrant farmer, and her mother, who emphasized hard work and service to others. Those early lessons stayed with Amanda and continue to guide how she approaches the law: with integrity, preparation, and respect for the responsibility the justice system carries.

Born and raised in El Paso, Amanda is proud to serve the community that raised her. She and her husband, Chris—a U.S. Army company commander—are raising their son, Noa, here at home. After earning her law degree, Amanda chose public service not for recognition, but because she believes the justice system works best when every case is handled carefully, professionally, and with a steady commitment to fairness.

Over the course of her career, Amanda has prosecuted and tried cases across the full spectrum of criminal law—from misdemeanors to the most serious felony offenses, including capital murder. She has stood before judges and juries handling high-stakes cases where fairness, attention to detail, and sound judgment mattered most.

Amanda’s experience is uniquely balanced. In addition to her years in the District Attorney’s Office, she also served as a Trial Team Chief in the Public Defender’s Office, supervising attorneys and ensuring defendants received competent, ethical representation. That perspective has given her a clear understanding of how courtroom decisions affect victims, defendants, families, and the broader community.

Amanda is running for the 171st District Court because she believes the courtroom should be guided by experience, preparation, and steady leadership—not politics. As judge, she is committed to treating every person with respect, following the law as written, and ensuring that justice is administered fairly and efficiently for everyone who enters her courtroom.
